International emergency aid & solidarity without borders
ERA-BE vzw supports countries and regions affected by wildfires and natural disasters. Our Belgian volunteers — consisting of firefighters and specialised emergency responders — operate within international crisis teams to quickly and efficiently strengthen interventions.
We connect local requests for assistance with international operational expertise, always in coordination with and with respect for the competent authorities.
Assistance in critical situations
Firefighting and fire prevention
We support affected regions with experienced firefighters who are committed both to active firefighting and to preventive measures that limit risks.
Complementing local expertise
We reinforce existing teams with specialized knowledge and skills, so that interventions are more professional, better coordinated and more impactful.
Logistical support
We help organize and coordinate emergency relief operations, from manpower to on-site logistics.
Support for local authorities
We work exclusively under the authority and coordination of the competent authorities in order to respond as effectively as possible to local needs.
